UP NEXT: Arrowverse Musical Crossover Will Likely Feature Original Music
Earlier today, executive producer Greg Berlanti spoke about the ambitious musical episode and confirmed that a popular Batman villain would make a cameo. The unnamed episode will see the Music Meister act as its main villain, and fans are curious to see how the story turns out.
Right now, no one has been cast to play Music Meister, but fans are hoping Neil Patrick Harris might have time for the task. The actor did voice Music Meister in the animated series Batman: The Brave and the Bold, so who knows? Harris may be busy with promotions of Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, but the campy gig may just catch his eye.
The president of The CW also had a few words to share about the musical crossover. Mark Pedowitz told TV Line that “We’re very excited about it. There’s great musical talent on both shows.”
Of course, the president is not wrong about that. Both Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist starred on the hit drama Glee while it was on air, and fans clamored over the stars’ smooth vocals.
This is not the first time executives at The CW has spoken about the upcoming musical crossover featuring Supergirl and The Flash. Last year, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg talked about the project and said it will be “awesome.”
“The musical will just be awesome. It’s gonna be fun. It’s funny, we have villains that can split the earth in half. We have villains that can run at the speed of light,” he said. “What’s so crazy about a villain that can make you think your friends are singing and dancing in front of you?” Of course, while some fans may think the villain’s powers are a bit silly, others might recognize those abilities from Batman: The Brave and the Bold. The animated series featured a fan-favorite villain named Music Meister who could hypnotize and control others through music. While there’s no telling whether Supergirl is using their own iteration of the DC villain, fans are saying they’d be happy to see the quirky character.

The former told IndieWire he would love to get an original piece done, showrunner Todd Helbing even told IGN that a dance sequence may find its way into the crossover as well.
