Although Krypton and Daxam used to be neighbors, with both planets existing in the same solar system, Kryptonians and Daxamites hated each other, and so much so that they went to war. Of course, both sides claim the other started the conflict.
That’s why Supergirl, who is usually accepting of all beings, treated Mon-El poorly when she learn where he came from. However, over sometime, she softened up to him and eventually fell in love with him.
At some point in tonight’s finale, Superman will be released from Rhea’s control, and when that happens, Kara will probably introduce him to her boyfriend. How might that go?
“[Mon-El], I think, was unconscious the entire time [Superman/Clark Kent] was there at the beginning of the season,” Tyler Hoechlin explained to TV Line. “So it was nice to actually have him joining the group โ another dynamic personality to add to the mix. [Superman] has enough confidence to be OK with a Daxamite fighting alongside him. And he trusts Kara, so I think he also trusts that she’d pick a good guy.”
Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) challenges Rhea (guest star Teri Hatcher) to battle to save National City. Meanwhile, Superman (guest star Tyler Hoechlin) returns and Cat Grant (guest star Calista Flockhart) offers Supergirl some sage advice.
Glen Winter directed the episode with story by Andrew Kreisberg & Jessica Queller and teleplay by Robert Rovner & Caitlin Parrish.
