Beginning with the season’s tenth episode, Arrow will bring Talia Al Ghul, the daughter of season 3 big bad Ra’s al Ghul, on board in a recurring role.

The character, whose last live-action appearance was as a child on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow but who helped Bane orchestrate his attack on Gotham in The Dark Knight Rises, will be played by V and Stargate SG-1 actress Lexa Doig.
The CW describes the character as “the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable) and the half-sister of Nyssa (Katrina Law). Worldly and cultured, Talia is an elite warrior who doesn’t pick sides but rather creates her own. She will initially appear in episode 510 and appear in multiple episodes.”
No word yet on whether Nable or Law will appear.
It’s not an unreasonable guess to think that any version of Talia showing up in the present day might have scores to settle with Oliver, Merlyn, and Sara, considering their various debts and slights to the League of Assassins and Talia’s now-dead father. That may be a little too close for comfort to the role she played in The Dark Knight Rises, so what else could she be doing?
What’s arguably more likely, is the idea of Talia being a major player in the flashbacks, explaining why we haven’t seen her up to this point and perhaps giving a little context for why Ra’s became so obsessed with Oliver so suddenly in season 3.
Arrow airs on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
