“I think mostly when we write episodes we’re sort of focused on the cast,” Michael Jelenic says. “We don’t really bring in too many guest stars just because that complicates production and our schedule is very aggressive, as I like to say.”
That said, Teen Titans Go! is coming up on its milestone 200th episode. As the show keep pressing forward, there’s the chance that other characters, including other Titans, may pop up.
“I think if we keep going, and it seems like we’re going to keep going, we’ll probably start exploring some maybe other versions of Teen Titans like Titans East and eventually replace the cast,” Jelenic says.
Titans East was a secondary Teen Titans squad introduced in the original Teen Titans animated series. The team is led by Bumblebee and also includes Speedy, Aqualad, and Mas y Menos. Cyborg was also a member for a time. The team defends Steel City and fills in for the Teen Titans in defending Jump City from time to time.
