Wonder Woman faces off against a series of foes in her recent solo film, including Danny Huston‘s Erich Ludendorff. As a World War I General conspiring with Doctor Maru/Doctor Poison, Ludendorff has several significant scenes throughout the film. But according to Huston, one of those scenes was particularly noteworthy – thanks to how nervous he was while filming it.

In a recent interview with Collider, Huston revealed what was going on in his mind during the dance scene between Ludendorff and the film’s title character. While the scene itself brings Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) into a rather tense face-to-face confrontation with Ludendorff, Huston was worried about impressing the actress with his dancing skills.

“I was very nervous about waltzing with Gal Gadot,” Huston explained, “because I wanted to impress her. I wanted to impress her as Wonder Woman, and I wanted to impress Gal as well. So that was a nerve-wracking day for me, because not only did I want to impress her, but I also wanted to remember my lines. I didn’t want to disappoint anybody, but I certainly wanted to impress Gal and I did my best. After a few takes, I was like a fighter in the sort of 10th round, literally hanging on her neck and she managed to keep me upright and looking powerful. But that in a way was my most challenging day.”

When it came to approaching his character’s villainous side, Huston did not have as much apprehension. The actor recently spoke with ComicBook.com as well, and unveiled the techniques he used to flesh out his antagonistic character.

Wonder Woman currently has an 88.26 on ComicBook.com’s composite rankings, and make sure to submit your review here.
