While Wonder Woman is just a few months away from release, a few new photos have surfaced online that are sure to drum up hype for the film.
The two photos focus on one of the film’s biggest dynamics – between the title character, Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) and American pilot Steve Trevor (Chris Pine). In the comics, the relationship between Diana and Steve is a pretty significant part of the Wonder Woman canon, with most interpretations of the dynamic turning romantic to some degree. While it’s unclear if that will occur in the Wonder Woman film, these new photos indicate – as have the film’s trailers – that their rapport will be strong.

The second photo shows Diana and Steve meeting with two of the film’s supporting characters, played by Said Taghmaoui and Ewen Bremner. This is significant for fans of the larger DCEU, as both characters appeared in the photo of Diana that surfaced in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Bremner, who is perhaps best known for appearing in the Trainspotting films, gave some hints about his role in Wonder Woman, that could hint at the significance of the photo above.
“I play a character who’s enlisted by Wonder Woman to help save the world as part of a small, unlikely band. He’s a shellshocked soldier who’s been discharged from the war and is brought back to help on a secret mission.”
With that in mind, it’s safe to assume that the photo of the four is from the scene where Sameer (Taghmaoui) and Charlie (Bremner) are ‘enlisted’ to help Diana of Themyscira. This means that this is one of the first glimpses of Diana beginning to bring her team together.
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot, Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine, crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Wonder Woman, directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot as Diana, Princess of Themyscira, is in post-production now for a June 2, 2017 release. If you are excited for the movie, then let us know below by rating it with our Anticipation Rankings! It is currently #13 on all of ComicBook!
