While the Nintendo Switch has its fair share of racing action with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Fast RMX, some people are wondering if the system would get any sort of serious racing simulator. Here’s the good news – there totally is.

Nintendo Life has reported that the publisher at Microids is working alongside the development team at Eden Games to produce a new free-to-download racing game that definitely looks like something along the lines of Gran Turismo, in the form of Gear.Club Unlimited. The game will utilize ads and offer in-app purchases for vehicles and other goods, though the team didn’t break down just would be available.
The game will feature quite a bit of content to choose from, including a number of races and tracks, which you can glimpse at in the trailer above.
The official game description is as follows:
“Gear.Club Unlimited offers players a driving experience behind the wheel of prestigious cars from leading brands. They will have to demonstrate a strong competitive spirit during frantic races to win championships and set the fastest lap times, alone or against their friends! In order to make their cars ever more powerful and aggressive, players can customize them – from body to engine!”
We also included a couple of screenshots, and, thus far the game is looking quite good, especially when you see the trailer in action.
It could definitely fill the void in terms of “serious” racing game, although we have yet to give the game a proper test drive. We’ll probably be given the chance at some point later this year, before the game’s Q4 2017 release.
We’ll keep you detailed on new content that’s detailed with the game.
