A new preview for an upcoming League of Legends champion has been released, a Frejlordian Vanguard whose name is Ornn.

Ornn was first teased in the Champion Roadmap that was released in July where Riot Reav3 talked about several upcoming reworks and even dropped hints about a new champion. All that we knew at the time was that a Vanguard would be coming from the coldest regions, which was correctly and safely assumed to be Freljord, and that the champion would be self-reliant and able to do some building of some sort.

With the new teaser that's been revealed that contains a song and a poem called "Return to Hearth-Home," we're able to learn a bit more about this icy worker. Mentioning steel, sparks, and mountains, it looks like we have a dwarf archetype on our hands, one that excels at creating weapons and other structures.

This lines up pretty well with the very first teaser that said he'd be able to "build more than just character," but what exactly he's going to be building is still unknown. Some players have speculated that he might be able to use the terrain of Summoner's Rift to his advantage, building up or destroying certain areas of the map. With Ornn being classified as a Vanguard, which falls firmly in the Tank category, he won't be geared towards the support role, though he could make an appearance there depending on what his kit looks like. Since the Champion Roadmap referred to him as being self-reliant, it's probably safe to assume that he'll be most comfortable building his structures in the top lane.

For what sounds like a manly, Frejlordian champ, some players have also compared Ornn to Braum, wondering if there's any connection between the two. Through a discussion on Reddit, it was suggested that Ornn may have been responsible for building Braum's shield. The idea was refuted when players recalled that Braum's shield was actually a door imbued with dark ice magic, but when a reader suggested that Ornn might be responsible for creating that door, Reav3 commented only a winky-face, suggesting that they might be onto something.

You can see the poem above, and the song can be heard here in the teaser. Ornn likely won't be seen on the Rift for another patch or two, but with this teaser following the first, we can expect to see more of the Frejlordian Mountainsmith before his reveal.
