League of Legends has provided players with a comprehensive set of videos and tools that give a deeper look at the upcoming Runes Reforged system.

Through a new section of the League site that’s been set up as a one-stop shop for all of the information you need on the upcoming runes, Riot has confirmed that the new Ruens Reforged format will have 60 runes with almost all of them detailed through the site.

From Keystone Runes to a rune page simulator that allows players to build their own rune page in preparation for the real deal, the site has just about everything that players could hope for related to the new runes.

All of the Keystone Runes

To star things off, all of the Keystone Runes except for one of the three options in the Inspiration patch were all covered within the new site.

The five paths are Precision, Domination, Sorcery, Resolve, and Inspriation, and each one of them offers completely different advantages depending on your champion and your playstyle. Each of the paths also provide moderate stat boosts depending on which primary and secondary path you choose to bring into battle.

With three Keystone Runes in each path and five paths to look through, that brings the total to 15 unique options for every fight. Each of the Keystone Runes has a brief gameplay clip to show them in action that can all be seen here. The final Inspiration Keystone Rune is “coming soon,” so expect to see the final one revealed eventually. However, all the runes are still work-in-progress, so names and stats could very well change.

Keystone Runes in Action

A couple of the powerful Keystone Runes can be seen easily here through a longer compilation of the runes, a clip that shows three of the options from different rune paths.

In order, the three Keystone Runes shown in the above video are as follows:

  • Arcane Comet–ย Hitting a champion with a spell hurls a damaging comet at them.
  • Predator–ย Add an active effect to your boots that grants a large boost of movement speed and causes your next attack or spell to deal bonus damage.
  • Aftershock–ย After immobilizing an enemy champion gain defenses and later deal a burst of damage around you.

Build Your Own Rune Page

One of the most helpful parts of the new site dedicated to the runes is the rune page simulator, a tool that allows players to create their own rune pages right now to map out builds before the runes go live.

The tool can be found here, and it allows players to choose one of the five paths and fill it with several runes. After that, a secondary path is chosen where players can then select two additional runes, the second path playing into the stat bonuses from the first one as well.

For those that don’t have a PBE account to witness the initial testing phase of the runes, the rune page simulator is a prime way to start getting yourself ready for the new runes.

Beyond Level 30

In addition to the info about the new runes, there was also plenty of reminders related to the uncapped leveling and IP changes coming during the preseason.

Those who have been keeping up with the changes will recall that the level cap is being done away with, and players will soon be able to level up infinitely. You’ll get more loot along the way each time you level up, earning Blue Essence and level-up capsules with loot rewards. The Blue Essence is also taking the place of IP, and a special store will open up soon for players to spend that IP/Blue Essence they’ve been hoarding.

For those that have been playing for quite a while, you’ll also receive several tiers of emotes that change depending on how much time you’ve invested into the game. The requirements for those haven’t been revealed yet, but players who have stuck with League for a while should have no problem getting their own.
