Last week, we reported the news that a special Superior Spider-Man skin would be available for use in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite for PlayStation 4 as a bonus for those who purchased the Digital HD version of Spider-Man: Homecoming for that system. At the time, we questioned if the skin would make it to other versions of the game, and now we have our answer.

Microsoft has announced a similar deal for the Xbox One version of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, in which players can unlock the specialized Doctor Octopus-style Spider-Man costume, with the additional limbs intact, by purchasing Homecoming for its home video format. "Now through October 24th, when you buy the film on Microsoft Movies & TV, you'll receive an exclusive Superior Super-Man Premium Costume for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite on Xbox One, plucked straight from the pages of the 2013 Superior Spider-Man comic book series," the company noted.

"When Otto Octavius, the villain known as Doctor Octopus, was dying, he cheated death by using his skills as a mad scientist to swap minds with his greatest enemy, Spider-Man," the statement reads. "He redesigned the suit to feature a red and black color scheme with mechanical spider arms, rendering him smarter, stronger…Superior!"

We should note, though, that the additional limbs don't have any actual affect on gameplay. They're just there mainly for design purposes, while Spider-Man's general control style remains intact. Still, for those of you looking for cool new skins for your Marvel vs. Capcom characters, like you probably did with these special pre-order skins, this is just the deal for you.

Capcom still hasn't noted if these skins will be available for separate purchase down the road, but we've seen it offered a few months following a game's release for a few additional bucks in the past.

One thing we do know is that the first batch of downloadable content is right around the corner, with Black Panther, Monster Hunter, and Sigma all debuting in the game this Tuesday.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
