Nearly one year following its original release on consoles and PC, Overwatch is still going strong, and some rumored content set to arrive over the next month should assure that Blizzard has no intention of stopping its momentum. But now, fans will be able to enjoy a little something else alongside their game – a special art book.
Blizzard has listed a special The Art of Overwatch book that's set to release sometime this October, though the date hasn't been fully finalized yet. In it, you'll be able to get a little better insight in terms of what went on with the creative process of the game, from character designs to the intricate world mapping. In addition, you'll also get some quotes from artists and developers, providing a glimpse into what went into the game's overall creation. Think of it as a peek behind the curtain of one of the most popular multiplayer games to date.
The book will be available in two different editions – a standard edition, going for $49.99, and a collector's edition, going for $100. The main difference between the two is the limited edition having fancier packaging, as you can see below. "This deluxe limited edition comes packaged in a beautiful clamshell box with magnetic closure and includes an acetate slipcover featuring the game's most popular hero, Tracer, as well as two portfolios containing a total of three prints chosen by the Overwatch team!" the developer noted in the product description.
