Even though everyone’s focused on what’s to come with Call of Duty: WWII this November, Infinite Warfare still has plenty to offer. Along with introducing a new mode where gestures is the name of the game, there’s a new feature that actually ties in with the My Call of Duty profile.

According to Charlie Intel, this profile was originally introduced earlier in the year, allowing players to track their basic multiplayer stats and more through both Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops III. However, a new feature has been enabled with the profile that actually allows you to open up supply drops online.

While accessing your profile, you may notice a new Quartermaster tab that appears under Infinite Warfare. Once you’re in that, you’ll be able to check your inventory for keys and Call of Duty points. If you’ve got enough stacked up, you can actually order a Common or Rare Supply Drop on demand, which will then appear within the game once you start it back up.

Activision did make some notes regarding this feature through its support page, which you can see below:

  • You can only use the amount of Keys / CP you have on your account at a certain time online. You cannot purchase Call of Duty Points to use online; you have to purchase through the in-game /platform store.
  • If you open a drop online and don’t see the gear in-game, make sure to restart the game.
  • Any loot earned via opening a drop through My Call of Duty will not show up in the Recently Acquired tab. You will have access to the loot in the Create-a-Class, as usual.
  • There’s no different/separate gear available in My Call of Duty. It’s the same gear set, just a new way to open supply drops when you’re away from the game.

So it’s not entirely a game-changing feature, but it’s pretty neat being able to order Supply Drops ahead of time if you need them โ€“ and hopefully we’ll see it carry over into WWII when it launches in a couple of months.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
