Spending that much on a collectible statue that’ll take up so much room is quite a commitment, but considering how die-hard Dark Souls fans usually are when it comes to the series, that price certainly won’t deter the most devoted of gamers. If you’re already convinced that the statue is something you need to have in your collection, you can go ahead and preorder your collectible here.
For those who have been away from the Dark Souls games for a while or at least haven’t revisited the first game in some time, Oscar is the courageous Knight of Astora who’s encountered at the beginning of the first game. Oscar frees the Chosen Undead from being imprisoned in a cell and later assists once more by donating an Estus Flask shortly before he dies. As the first NPC that players encounter in Dark Souls, Oscar is a perfect example of Dark Souls’ dark themes as he dies to help a cause and quickly returns as a Hollow enemy who tries to kill the Chosen Undead.
The statue itself features Oscar with his Elite Knight armor set and his extremely useful Crest Shield and Astora’s Straight Sword. The Elite Knight Set was always a decent armor option in the game โ it definitely gave players a legit “knight” look โ and his Crest Shield was always valued for its impressive magic and physical resistances. Astora’s Straight Sword might not be the most viable weapon later on, but when used in the Catacombs on reviving enemies, it’s an invaluable tool.
Ordering the statue now before the Oct. 24 deadline will also net you a preorder bonus of a Crystal Lizard, also a 1/6 scale figure. The figure will also ship to the U.S., and it’s expected to ship around Jan. 31 of next year.
