Ready to make a mess of things in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered? The team at Raven Software have just the mode to do it with.

As part of the latest promotion for the ongoing Call of Duty: Days of Summer event, Raven has announced that it will be adding Demolition mode to the Modern Warfare Remastered game for the first time ever! The mode will be open starting this Friday, July 21st, at 10 AM PDT, and will be available all week long, until Friday, July 28th, at the same time. You can check out a sneak peek in the embedded tweet below.

The team has also confirmed that, in the mode, you'll be able to earn double XP all week long playing alongside your friends, so it's a good opportunity to stack up and use that experience to your own good.

For those that aren't familiar with the mode, Demolition Mode originally made its debut in multiplayer games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and continued with Black Ops, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops II, Black Ops III, and Infinite Warfare. It's a very similar mode to Search and Destroy, where one team attempts to destroy bomb sites, while the other tries to defend them in the best way possible, using a number of tactics.

It's a bit different though, with the addition of respawns, as well as giving each attacker a bomb as soon as they spawn, and there's a maximum of three rounds per game and an overall score limit of two. So there's more than enough reason for players to check it out again, especially if they're veterans of the previous Demolition modes that were featured in earlier Call of Duty games.

No word yet on when it'll possibly make its return to Modern Warfare Remastered after this week is up, so your best bet is to enjoy it while it lasts, and get some XP for your troubles while you're at it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is available separately now for PlayStation 4. You can also buy it as part of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
