Destiny 2 is out now for all platforms (finally!) and as promised, Bungie has already been letting fans of the latest shooter in on what changes are on the way. While fans waited for the sequel to release on PC to trigger the next phase of end-game content, some players took matters into their own hands to provide a new experience while they wait. One even decided to put a horror spin on Destiny 2, and what better backdrop than that of the creepy Lost Sectors?

The caves that Guardians enter during the Lost Sectors portion of the Bungie title are a little scary, to be honest. A spookier backdrop blended with a little fan creativity makes the perfect set up for a horror spin. One YouTuber did just that with his video "Without a Fireteam, No One Can Hear You Scream." We've got to say, it's pretty impressive and couldn't come at a better time with Halloween just around the corner.

"This is a Destiny / Alien horror movie trailer mash up. All shots filmed on the way to or during the Utopia mission on Titan in Destiny 2. The Festering Halls HAS to be an homage to the movie Alien as it screams of that atmosphere at almost every angle!"

The video above is ... unfff, so I may not be the best with all things horror but that doesn't mean I don't love it! It's definitely recommended to equip those headphones so the full effect of the Hive can be felt.

This fan-made horror trailer is very impressive and oddly convincing. The Guardian responsible for this recreation is convinced that Bungie purposefully set up certain parts of the game specifically as a nod to the Alien franchise, and we can definitely see the comparison. He even mentions that The Festering Halls "screams of that atmosphere from every angle," and yeah - we're convinced.

Destiny 2 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and finally - PC.
