While there is some question in regards to the future of the Hitman franchise – what with Square Enix trying to sell off the developers at IO Interactive, and the developer also dealing with recent layoffs – you can, at the very least, enjoy that the games that have been offered in the past. And on top of that, thanks to Amazon, you can pick them up for a pretty damn good price.
The online retailer has recently listed The Hitman Collection for PC, which includes five classic games from the series. What’s more, you can pick up all of these for a total of $10, which equates to about $2 a game – not a bad deal at all if you’re looking to wipe out a few targets.
The deal includes five different chapters of the Hitman saga – the one that started it all, Hitman: Codename 47; Hitman 2: Silent Assassin; Hitman: Contracts; Hitman: Blood Money; and the most recent released before the Complete First Season that came out for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Hitman: Absolution. Keep in mind that this is for the Elite Edition of the game, which means you get extra goodies on top of the main game. That makes the deal even better.
Amazon hasn’t provided any details in terms of just how long this deal will last, so if you’re aching to put some people down with accidental deaths (or just going up and shooting them in the face, like some brave hitmen are known to do), you’d best pick it up while you still can. Granted, you will need the necessary hard drive space to download them all, but it’s a small price to pay when it comes to cleaning up contracts and getting paid some damn good money.
There’s no word yet if we’ll see a similar sale of Hitman games on other systems, as it’s only PC for now. However, you never know – we could see markdowns of other games in the future, giving people ample opportunity to check this franchise out.
Hitman: The Complete First Season is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
