GTA Online Hackers Unlock Long-Hunted Secret Alien Mission Early
After four years of digging, speculation, and theorizing, Grand Theft Auto V hackers have finally [...]
The Mystery

As mentioned, alien conspiracies have gripped Grand Theft Auto V for years now. GTA V's tallest peak, Mount Chilliad, features a mysterious mural, which you can see above. The mural features a map with various markers and a handful of strange images, including an egg, a UFO and a jetpack. To add fuel to the fire, if you manage to 100 percent complete GTA V, an alien spacecraft may be glimpsed at Mount Chilliad near the mystery mural under the certain circumstances. Hmmmm!
Code divers also managed to uncover an unused alien egg model buried deep within GTA V's code. Combined with the Chilliad mural, people began to suspect Rockstar might have some big otherworldly plans in store. For the most part, the alien theorizing was all in good fun – most realized the egg was just an unused asset or perhaps a rather literal Easter egg intentionally left in the code to be found – but still, some fans wondered if Rockstar would ever deliver a payoff to these teases.

Turns out we aren't alone in the universe, although some may find the mission unlocked in GTA Online somewhat disappointing. Players are sent on a typical mission to steal some supplies, when they happen to stumble upon a crashed alien spacecraft. You can't actually go into the spaceship, but you can grab yourself an alien egg. Finally, that damn egg has a purpose!
Unfortunately, the aliens aren't going to let you steal their unborn without a fight. A small group of aliens spawn once you grab the egg, and you have to fight them off. The aliens look pretty much identical to the ones seen in previous "hallucinatory" missions like Grass Roots and Did Somebody Say Yoga? Also, these aliens go down pretty easily – they definitely don't have any sort of bullet-shielding technology.
So, is this the end of the GTA V alien saga? Probably not. Again, this could just be a fragment of a larger mission, or something Rockstar discarded. Also, what's up with that jetpack on the Chilliad mural? We want our jetpacks!
