It’s not enough that you have to conquer Dragon Ball FighterZ when it arrives early next year – you need to have the best fighting gear when it comes to defeating your opponents with an explosive amount of firework-like fury. And good news – you’ll be able to get your hands on said gear soon enough.
HORI has announced that it is working on a new peripheral that ties in with Bandai Namco’s forthcoming 2D fighting game, with a design specifically made with Dragon Ball FighterZ in mind. The real Arcade Pro Arcade Fight Stick model will feature an image of Super Saiyan Blue Goku on the front of the controller, along with its usual quality design, with an arcade-style joystick and functional buttons that let you execute special moves in style.

The controller is being made to work on a number of platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC. Even though FighterZ won’t be coming to PS3, you can still use it to play a variety of fighting games on it, like the classic Street Fighter games and Mortal Kombat – even while Goku stares at you, yelling, “Why aren’t you playing Dragon Ball FighterZ?!”
According to a product listing over at Amazon Japan, the controller is set to debut on Feburary 1st, 2018 for around $180 U.S. dollars. It appears to be compatible with U.S. systems, so don’t hesitate in importing. There’s no word yet if the controller will come to the States, but considering how hot the fighting market is here (especially with the EVO event and all), it would be a total shock if we didn’t get it on our shores. We’ll keep you informed if an official announcement is made, and if the price remains around the same.
There’s no word yet if the Xbox One will be getting its own fighting controller, but there are a few models out there that work with games like FighterZ, so don’t be afraid to invest in one of those instead – unless you want to wait and see what’s announced. You never know.
Dragon Ball FighterZ releases on January 26th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
