Okay, guys, try not to freak out. We have some data-miners who have uncovered potentially huge information pertaining to Injustice 2‘s Fighter Pack 3, which contains our final three DLC characters. We know that Atom is on the way, but there are two silhouettes that have yet to be unveiled… Until now. Stick with us, because by the end of this article, we think you’ll have a pretty firm idea about who our final two DLC characters are.

Okay, so some Reddit sleuths have been digging into the Injustice 2 data provided by the beta on Steam, and some very interesting character names have popped up! Check out some of the file names below:

There’s no mistaking a name like “Celebrimbor,” and there’s no other Celebrimbor that we know of. For those of you not familiar with the name, this is a legendary elf from Lord of the Rings who created the three great elven rings. He was most recently made famous in Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War which, as I’m sure has dawned on you just now, is published by the same company that publishes Injustice 2. Since both worlds exist within WB’s realm, it’s not too far-fetched to think that Celebrimbor could be featured in Injustice 2.

It would be one thing if his name showed up randomly next to some throwaway file, but the files are titled CharIntro and Victory, which makes it sound like these are character animations and intros.

But Celebrimbor wasn’t the only mysterious name found within the files…

Who is Alma?

There were alternate CharIntro and Victory files attached to the name Talion, who is the main protagonist of Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War. It’s possible that one of these characters will be revealed for the roster, while the other is a premiere skin, or it could be that Talion can be possessed by the bright spirit of Celebrimbor as his character power. But who is Alma?

Above we see another CharIntro file attached to “Alma,” which doesn’t fit any DC Universe character that we know of. There’s a chance that ‘Alma’ is a code name for someone else, since NetherRealm has been known to use code names for characters in the past.

We think that these are indeed code names, and that opens up two very different, and very exciting, possibilities.

Deadman and Enchantress?

Like we said, NetherRealm has used code names to blind DLC characters in Mortal Kombat games in the past. If we’re dealing with code names here, then there are two distinct possibilities for actual comic book character that come to mind.

Since Talion channels the spirit of Celebrimbor, there’s a chance that this could be a code name for Deadman. In fact, when you look at the silhouetted characters that we’re still waiting to see confirmation for, one of them looks like it could have a large collar, and Deadman is typically pictured with a collar. Look at the bottom right figure, and compare that to some image of Deadman you can find online.

We’ve been speculating for some time that Enchantress would be the female DLC character revealed for Fighter Pack 3, and ‘Alma’ could very well be another video game character code name for Enchantress. Alma is from the game F.E.A.R., and she looks very much like Enchantress on a good day:

Again, compare that image of Alma to many of the Enchantress images you’ll find online, and I think you’ll see why we’ve discovered who our next characters will be. But we want to know what you guys think. Do you think WB is about to do some crazy cross promotion withย Shadow of War, or are these two code names for actual comic book characters? Weigh in on the poll below, and then tune in this Friday for the next Fighter Pack 3 reveal!

What do the names represent?
