The battle is nearly upon us! After months of character reveals, trailers, and general hype, Injustice 2 is almost here! But what if you just can’t wait until May 16 to get your hands on NetherRealm’s latest DC Comics fighter? Well, it seems there may be a way to play the game just a little bit early.

According to Redditor AshKethun, most GameStop locations will be bumping up their “midnight launch,” and releasing Injustice 2 at 8 or 9pm on May 15. Several other Redditors have replied saying GameStop locations in their section of the country, including the Midwest and West Coast, will also be sneaking the game out before its official release date. It isn’t entirely clear if you need to pre-order to get Injustice 2 to get the game early, but it will probably help.
As a reminder, those who pre-order Injustice 2 get exclusive access to Darkseid, who looks like a rather unique fighter, and a poster from GameStop. If you’ve got a few extra bucks to spare, you can also grab the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, which costs $100 and includes:
– The standard Injustice 2 game
– Access to 9 DLC fighters, including Red Hood, Starfire, and Sub-Zero
– 3 premier skins, for Flash, Green Lantern, and Supergirl, that give your fighters alternate looks, voices, and dialog. The skins transform Flash into the original Golden Age version, Green Lantern into the John Stewart version, and Supergirl into Power Girl
– 2 shader packs that let you customize the look of your fighters
For those who don’t manage to get in on the early GameStop launch, Injustice 2 officially hits Xbox One and PS4 on May 16.
