“One of the big goals we had with Injustice 2 was we wanted it to be a big, cinematic experience, we wanted it to have customization, but the other big part, the big component, was making a legitimate competitive game. We put a lot of work into making this game a sport can compete in.
We have the Injustice Pro Series. You get points at major events around the country. Then there’s the Hometown Heroes for the guy who plays more casually, and there’s Liga Latina, so different parts of the world. The tops players from all of those are going to meet in the ELEAGUE Finals. The last 16 players are going to meet and fight for the championship on television.”
As Boon mentioned, Injustice 2 is currently holding a variety of tournaments โ the Injustice 2 Pro Series is for professional players with big money on the line, Injustice 2 Hometown Heroes gives regular players a chance to participate, Injustice 2 Path To Pro is for European players, and Injustice 2 Liga Latina covers Latin America. 16 top players from these four series will be chosen to participate in Injustice 2 Global Grand Finals, which will be presented live by ELEAGUE on TBS in October. If you think you’ve got the skills, you can register for the Injustice 2 Championship Series here โ over $600,000 is being awarded across all the events, so it could definitely be worth your while!
