Oh yeah, you’re about to regret not picking up the Injustice 2: Ultimate Edition. Some new Ultimate Edition bonus screenshots have been released showing off a few of the Premier Skins and Shader Packs, and they look incredible. “The Ultimate Pack upgrades you to the Ultimate Edition and grants access to 9 additional fighters as they are released, 2 exclusive gear shaders, and unlocks the Power Girl, John Stewart, and Reverse-Flash Premier skins.”

The Power Girl, John Steward, and Reverse-Flash Premier Skins have all been collected here for you to gawk at and enjoy, and we even have a few of the shader packs on display that weren’t mentioned by name. The gods and demons shader packs turn your favorite heroes into dazzling saints or demonic beasts, respectively, and they look incredible.

Keep scrolling to see all of the goods, and remember that it’s not too late to claim you Ultimate Edition pre-order, which includes Darkseid as an exclusive playable character. Injustice 2 launches on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on May 16. Now let’s look at these skins…

John Stewart

As you can see, these Premier Skins are more than just alternate costumes. They change the identities of our heroes completely, offering unique variety and more replay value. Angry that John Stewart Green Lantern didn’t make it in theย Injustice 2 roster? Here’s your solution. Now you can play this alternate Green Lantern without worrying about learning an entirely different moveset or offensive strategies.

So we have our Hal Jordan Green Lantern, and we have a John Stewart Green lantern. Through different equipment and shaders we also know that we’ll be able to equip Green Lantern with yellow and red hues to completely change his look. Now all we’re missing is Sinestroย as a playable character… How about it NetherRealm?

Reverse Flash

We’re getting some pretty neat villains this time around thanks to the Premier Skins. Here we see Reverse Flash, also known as Rival Flash. We knew that Reverse Flash was coming, but this is the first time we’ve seen his model in detail.ย

Something that hasn’t been made clear is whether these Premier Skin characters will have their own dialogue or not. It’d be interesting, for instance, to see Reverse Flash and Flash go head to head with each other. It seems like a lot of trouble to go through in order to accommodate a fancy skin, but it’s something fans would appreciate.

Power Girl

Before we get to an exciting new skin for Cyborg, which you can unlock forย free (we’ll tell you how), let’s take another look at Power Girl, here. This is another Premier Skin that changes its base character in a pretty big way. Though technically Supergirl and Power Girl are the same person, Power Girl hails from a separate earth and is older, calmer, and more aggressive than Supergirlย is.

Again, we’re really hoping for some alternate dialogue from Powergirl, and they could even use the same voice actress, but we’re not going to hold our breath.ย

Grid

grid skin

This is the baddest of the bunch, right here. This sick “Grid” Premier Skin for Cyborgย is probably the best we’ve seen so far, and the nice things is you’ll be able to unlock it for free!ย Injustice 2 Mobile is either already out by the time you read this, or coming in a matter of hours, and anyone who downloadsย Injustice 2 Mobile will be able to unlock the Grid Premier Skin by linking their mobile game to the console version.

This was revealed during the latestย Injustice 2 Watchtower Stream, but it wasn’t stated exactly how linking the two versions of the game will work. It was made clear, though, that linking the two games is all we need to do, and no purchase will be necessary.

Gods Shaders

Well, these gods shaders are supposed to give our heroes a saintly glow and appearance, but they look rather nightmarish if you ask us. There’s something about the white, glowing eyes that comes across as a little off-putting, but in motion they should look pretty cool.ย

Theoretically, you should be able to apply these shadersย to any of the gear that you have equipped, so these will probably look way more gnarly as some of you unlock more intricate, higher-level gear in the late-game.

Demons Shaders

And here we see the demons shaders, because there just has to be an aesthetic option for all of those edge-lords out there, right? A game just isn’t cool unless you can deck out your character in black and red and make some kind of visual statement about how misunderstood and dangerous you are.ย

Jokes aside, the demons shadersย will provide a fine alternative for anyone who wants to hop online and get inside of their opponents’ heads before taking them on. I don’t know if you’re a good player or not, but when I see this staring me down across the battlefield, I feel intimidated.

Who wore it best?
