So, yesterday, LawBreakers officially launched for PlayStation 4 and PC, engulfing players in gravity-defying multiplayer action as only the team at Boss Key Studios could bring you. However, some players were reporting that the PS4 version was plagued with issues, namely with the frame rate running into hitches over the course of the match.

But not to worry. The developer has noted that it was made aware of the problems almost immediately, and have since updated the game with a new patch that promises to fix them. It should be available now.

The team noted that the update should resolve the speed problem when it comes to hitches or freeze-ups within the game. However, in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly, players are advised to close the game completely, make sure that the update has been applied (mainly by going to "Check For Update" with the game in the menu), and, once that's completed, jumping back in again. It's not rocket science.

These issues got started with the game's launch yesterday, with hitches and freezing hampering the impactful gameplay that LawBreakers is known for, since it relies heavily on twitch skills for players to earn kills in a match and complete complex actions, such as using grapple cables or something else to get around the map. Obviously, performance is a very important factor with a game like this, and Boss Key worked tirelessly to make sure that it was back on track.

In fact, they were having a little fun with it. Arjan Brussee, the Boss Key COO, noted the following on Twitter: "Here's my official statement on this issue: %]?!*$&@;\>•=. Fnck. Fixing now." Other team members noted that the "hotfix patch process" was in the works, and, as promised, it looks like they followed through.

We're working on the game for review at the moment, and thus far, it definitely appears to be a much smoother process, though the real test will come with the servers as more people purchase and get into the game. We hope to bring you the final verdict within the next few days, but, for now, it seems like a pretty good multiplayer experience if you're looking for something new.

LawBreakers is available now for PlayStation 4 and PC.
