At E3 2017 EA revealed a Need for Speed Payback mission that made the game look a lot like a playable version of a Fast & Furious movie, which was cool, but what about the gearheads looking for a deeper experience? Don’t worry, you’re covered too, as Need for Speed Payback also delivers extensive customization options.

Today EA dropped a new Need for Speed Payback customization trailer, and a ton of new details about your car-building options. For most, creating your dream ride will begin with finding the perfect the perfect wreck:
“Derelicts are cars that you build up, from nothing but scrap, to stock and ultimately supercar. Once you’ve completed a Derelict project by finding your chassis, wheels, drivetrain and two unique parts, you’ll have the option to convert it into a drivable car. More importantly you’ll be given the choice of turning it into one of the five car classes.
Unlike regular cars, Derelicts have the ability to be each and every car class available. Ever wanted to turn a Chevrolet Bel Air into a off-road racing monster? Well now’s your chance, but choose wisely, once your decision has been made there’s no going back.”
Of course, you don’t have to scrounge for a derelict car, you can also buy them from one of several dealerships in the game’s open world. You can also buy everything you need for upgrades at parts shops, and set up multiple garages to do your tinkering in! Speaking of which, Need for Speed Payback really lets you finetune your car’s performance, and even apply some, uh, tasteful vanity items.
“Take your visual customization further and build out your dream car with the addition of Vanity Items. There’s multiple types of vanity item on offer in NFS Payback, each one allowing you to customize your car with that little extra personal flavor — Underglow, Tire Smoke, Nitrous Flames and Air Suspension.”
Hmmm, will you be able to pay extra for some of these vanity items? Since this is an EA game, I bet you will. Need for Speed Payback‘s customization options are so deep, I can’t possibly relate everything here โ check out the game’s website for the full scope of details.
Folks who pre-order Need for Speed Payback get access to the Platinum Car Pack, which includes five uniquely customized cars, as well as the chance to play the game three days early.
For those who don’t pre-order, Need for Speed Payback squeals onto PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on November 10.
