Do you like to keep both your video games and footware retro? Have you ever thought about combining the two? Well, now you can thanks to the new NES-themed Jordan IVs from Freaker Sneaks Customs. The Air Jordan IV debuted back in 1989 when the NES was in its heyday, so the pairing certainly makes sense. Unfortunately, while these shoes are a fine way to let the world you dominate on the court and the controller, you may need Michael Jordan‘s bank account to afford them โ these babies go for a slightly-crazy $1,250. Game Over, man.

Here’s how Freaker Sneaks Customs describe the shoes:
The Nintendo Entertainment System. Responsible for so many hours in front of the television as a kid growing up in the 80’s and 90’s. A true classic. Completing Super Mario Bros just once was never enough, while Duck Hunt completely changed the game with the Zapper light gun! Each pair made with official NES controllers. Buttons and D-pad are pressable, of course. Ten pairs in total available.
Well, the fact that there’s only 10 pairs of these shoes in the world makes their price a little more reasonable. Also, you can actually press the d-pad and buttons? That’s pretty cool. Some clever nerd should wire these babies up so you can play games with them. I’d consider paying $1,250 for a pair of shoes if I could play Contra with them. Well, actually, I still wouldn’t, but I bet there’s some shoe guys out there that would.
If you’ve got a grand-or-so burning a hole in your pocket, you can grab your NES Jordan IVs, right here. Get ’em while you last! You can check out more images of the shoes in the gallery below.
