Nintendo has done really well with the Nintendo Switch over the past few months, but some people are concerned that they won’t be able to find the system this holiday season and enjoy its fare, like Super Mario Odyssey and Fire Emblem Warriors. However, the company was quick to assure that it’s looking to remedy this matter.

Just as it did earlier in the summer, the company noted that it intends to “ramp up” production of the console over the next few months, so that there will be plenty on hand over the Christmas season. “We’re doing everything we can to make sure everyone who wants to buy a Nintendo Switch system can do so,” the company said to the Wall Street Journal. “We will ramp up production for the holiday period, which has been factored into our forecast.”

So what’s the game plan then? The company hopes to have 10 million Switch systems set to go by the end of the fiscal year, in the hands of retailers. Overall, though, it may be thinking of even more, around 18 million, depending on its supply chain. “One executive in the supply chain said his company was ready to pick up the pace of production if asked,” the Journal writer noted.

The company has already sold 4.7 million units, and, as of late, we’ve been seeing better availability through retailers like GameStop. However, it still has yet to figure out how things keep up over the long haul.

We’ll see how everything fares over the next few months, but we wish Nintendo the best of luck!
