Remnant 2 released its new The Awakened King DLC today, bringing a ton of new content to the game, including a new Archetype, storyline, and several bosses. However, players who elect to not purchase The Awakened King are still getting a treat because developer Gunfire Games has also released a patch for everyone. This patch should help alleviate some of the issues Remnant 2 has had with matchmaking in multiplayer because Gunfire has finally added regions. Now, you’ll be able to more easily find public games with a good connection, though you’ll still be able to easily group up with your friends regardless of what region you’re in.
On top of the quality-of-life changes affecting multiplayer, the new patch has several bug fixes that are sure to please Remnant 2 players. For example, the team has fixed a lingering issue that was making it impossible to acquire the “Carnage in C-Minor” achievement/trophy and has made several updates to enemies to keep them more consistent. The list of changes is relatively long and worth looking through if you’re someone planning to spend a significant chunk of time with The Awakened King.

Quality of Life
[ General ]
– Added matchmaking regions. You will be prompted for your region on first startup and can change it later if necessary. When you are searching for a public game, it will only show users in your region, and your region will determine which users can see your public games. Friends’ games are always visible, regardless of region settings.
– Fixed an issue where player’s data wasn’t always saved when a host quit or kicked them from a session.
