IGN has given us our first look at WWE 2K18‘s ambitious roster of playable Superstars, and things are looking good. Really good. We knew that Seth Rollins and Kurt Angle would be represented, but until very recently we’d seen very little actual in-game footage or heard any more about the game’s finalized roster.

This initial reveal represents what is likely a pretty small part of the entire WWE 2K18 roster. That may sound bananas, but in case you didn’t play WWE 2K17, we’ll remind you that that game ended up with almost 170 playable characters spanning Raw, SmackDown, NXT, Legends, and Divas. We have faith that 2K will be stepping things up for its latest entry.

As mentioned, this is just the first of several major roster reveals. In fact, IGN stated that it would be bringing us three more reveals before WWE 2K18 launches on October 17. Don’t forget that if you’re looking forward to playing as Kurt Angle, he was revealed as a pre-order bonus for the game, so you’ll want to lock in your order sooner than later.

We’ll keep you up to date on all of the reveals as IGN dishes them out! They have some fantastic coverage there featuring exclusive video intros and reveal segments featuring some of your favorite WWE personalities, so check ’em out!
