While it was previously only rumored, Creed star Michael B. Jordan officially confirmed his involvement in the upcoming Ryan Coogler Directed Black Panther solo project.

In an interview with THR at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, the actor expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming part in Marvel’s latest solo film, though he hasn’t said yet what role he will actually be playing.
“I’m super excited, especially to put a different spin on it. I’m looking forward to working with Ryan [Coogler] once again. It’s gonna be a good time.”
Jordan is reteaming with Ryan Coogler for the third time in his career, following their original project together Fruitvale Station and their most recent project, the critically ,and commercially successful Rocky spinoff Creed.
Jordan also gave his point of view on a few other things, which might have led to him confirming one of his co-stars. Actress Lupita Nyong’o has been rumored for Black Panther, but not officially cast. In response to the question “I can’t wait to work with…”, Jordan said: “Lupita Nyong’o and Chadwick Boseman [in Black Panther].” That means either he knows she is already cast and just hasn’t been officially announced yet, or he assumes based off of the same rumors we heard before. Hopefully, that becomes official soon.
