The Marvel Universe is in the midst of a new Civil War at the moment, but soon infighting within their superhero ranks will be the least of their problems.

In Monsters Unleashed, writer Cullen Bunn is teaming up with several fan favorite artists, including Steve McNiven, Greg Land, Leinil Yu, Salvador Larroca, and Adam Kubert for the over the top 5 issue series. The monsters of the Marvel Universe have all come down on it at once, creatures that solo takes more than a few heroes to take down. Now they’ve all joined together, and as Bunn describes, it’s going to wear on the heroes quickly.
“It’s an all hands on deck situation,” Bunn says. “Imagine something like the Hulk, only much bigger. With the destructive force those creatures have, the heroes will have to mobilize much more quickly. The heroes find themselves very quickly in a situation where they have no downtime, they have no chance to take a breath. They’re moving constantly against what are essentially cataclysmic threats over and over again.”
Monsters Unleashed will launch with five special variant covers that depict a monster vs hero theme, all of which you can find in the gallery. You can find the exact details for each cover below.
