Luke Cage's Mike Colter Teases Heroes for Hire Team Up with Iron Fist

The Netflix corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become quite a popular place, with each series released so far (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage) going to earn strong critical ratings and widespread appeal amongst viewers. 2017 is set to be an even bigger year for the Netflix MCU, with three highly anticipated series (Iron Fist, The Punisher and The Defenders) all premiering over the course of the year.

By the time 2017 is done, and the first Defenders team up miniseries has happened, fans expect to see a lot more crossover action in MCU Netflix "Phase 2." And there's no doubt that one of the biggest crossovers they want to see is Heroes for Hire.

In Marvel Comics, Heroes for Hire is exactly what it sounds like: Marvel superheroes selling their heroics as a business service. The first Heroes for Hire team consisted of Luke Cage and Iron Fist working together, but later incarnations of the team included new leader Misty Knight, and members like Colleen Wing, Shang-Chi, and Ant-Man. In the MCU, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) are prime candidates to star the HfH business, and with Misty Knight (Simone Missick) and Collen Wing (Jessica Henwick) positioned as big players in their respective series, it's easy to see it happening.

While at LA Comic-Con over the weekend, Mike Colter teased the Heroes for Hire team up to fans, saying, "Finn Jones I was just hanging out with him yesterday. So [I'm] going back to New York, start filming... We're getting ready to do 'Heroes for Hire' eventually, come on."

To be clear: Colter isn't saying they are filming Heroes for Hire right now; the shoot in NYC is for The Defenders. He's just (half-) jokingly alluding to him and Jones keeping in communication because eventually they are going to unite for HfH. So file this under actor hopes with a side of Marvel long-term planning, but not an official confirmation... yet.
