With filming on 20th Century Fox’s next X-Men franchise installment coming to a close in Montreal, cast members paid a visit to Montreal Children’s Hospital to spend time with young fighters and their families.

Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), and Nicolas Hoult (Beast) and James McAvoy (Charles Xavier) — both sporting matching “Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters” tees — brought gifts and posed for photos. The photos are collected in the gallery below by LeChildren, the official Instagram page for Montreal Children’s Hospital.

Visiting children’s hospitals is a favorite extracurricular activity for kind-hearted superhero actors: Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Charlie Cox (Daredevil), Ben Affleck (Batman), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) and the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are just a few of the super-actors who took time to make special memories for those dealing with difficult situations.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix will take place in the early ’90s, and will see the X-Men contend with Jean Grey’s (Sophie Turner) manifestation of unimaginable power. Fassbender, McAvoy, Shipp, and Hoult are joined by returning franchise stars Evan Peters, Daniel Cudmore, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Jennifer Lawrence, with Jessica Chastain the newest addition to the X-Universe in a mysterious role.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix opens November 2, 2018.
