‘Runaways’ Trailer Reveals the First Marvel Hulu Series

The first trailer for Marvel’s Runaways Hulu series is now online – watch it above!

Runaways follows a group of teens who discover that their respective parents are all supervillains in a secret society. Disenchanted and disillusioned, the teens all decide to run away from home and escape their parents’ evil legacy, by banding together as a team of superheroes, doing good in the world.

As you can see in the trailer above, Runaways captures teen angst in a surprisingly frank and timely way, before adding a layer of superhero intrigue on top of it. From first glance, it seems that Runaways will be on the level of Marvel Netflix shows, just aimed at a more young adult crowd.

This trailer should therefore come as relative relief to fans who were worried that the uniquely stylized tone of the source comic (part of Marvel’s now-defunct anime-inspired “Tsunami” imprint) wouldn’t translate well into a live-action series.

Marvels Runaways will premiere on Hulu starting November 21st.
