Marvel Studios changed the origin story for The Vision in Avengers: Age Of Ultron quite a bit. Though he was still created by Ultron, the synthezoid was brought to life via a combination of Tony Stark’s A.I. JARVIS and the Mind Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones.

With Thanos quest for the Infinity Stones bringing him to earth in the next big Marvel team up movie, many fans are questioning if the Android Avenger is long for this world or if he has a doomed fate.
Good Morning America spoke with the Vision actor Paul Bettany about his character’s potential death and if he could even survive without the Mind Stone socketed in his skull.
Does Vision’s Infinity Stone keep him alive in @Avengers #InfinityWar? @Paul_Bettany questions that maybe it does not! #D23expo pic.twitter.com/chNdZwftyd

“Apparently you might lose your stone in your head that keeps you aliveโฆ” the GMA interviewer said.
“But does it?” Bettany replied.
Elizabeth Olsen, who plays the Scarlet Witch, was also present for the interview and echoed his sentiments: “But does it?”

“We don’t know that,” Bettany added.
The question now is that IF the Vision survives the loss of the Mind Stone, how will that affect his personality moving forward? Would we see a version of the character more in line with what Tom King, Gabriel Hernandez Walta, and Jordie Bellaire established in their excellent comic book?
The MCU actor has been involved with the franchise as long as Robert Downey Jr. has, providing voice work for JARVIS in the first Iron Man movie, so he knows how to play the game.
Bettany added coyly that fans will find out the answer to the question when they see the movie.
