Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will be returning to where it all began in Avengers: Infinity War, but that doesn’t bode well for the denizens of The City That Never Sleeps.

The Avengers battle against the Mad Titan Thanos seems to be a globe-spanning affair, with shooting on the latest Marvel Studios crossover movie already taking place in Atlanta and Scotland.
Now Atlanta-based paparazzo Joe Passori reported that the production for Infinity War will soon be moving to New York City when it wraps up filming in the UK.
Passori reported the news on his Twitter account @AtlantaFilming, where he regularly posts information about productions for TV shows and movies such as Stranger Things, Ant Man & The Wasp, and Rampage.

Its a pretty safe bet if the film is set in New York… like everyone will be there.

The Avengers will be returning to one of the most iconic locations in Marvel Comics lore, as New York City plays home to many of the heaviest hitters in their catalogue. Though in the movies the Avengers had a base at Tony Stark’s compound elsewhere in the state, the team operates out of a mansion (and sometime Stark Tower) located in the city in the source material.
But with Thanos on the hunt for the Infinity Stones, a battle in one of the most populated cities in the world doesn’t bode well for the citizens who live there.
The Incident, as the Battle of New York has been referred to, caused billions of dollars in property damage and resulted in the deaths of either 74 people or hundreds of people, depending on if you’re going off of the stats from Captain America: Civil War or what a newspaper said in Daredevil on Netflix.
โจEither way, given Thanos’ penchant for courting Death herself, it might turn out worse for the New Yorkers the second time around.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.”
Avengers: Infinity War is described by Marvel Studios as the culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Iron Man in 2008. The movie is filming now under directors Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The expansive confirmed cast includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin as the villain Thanos. Avengers: Infinity War and its as-yet-untitled sequel are filming back-to-back for a May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 release, respectively.
