The artwork comes by way of Adi Granov, the Marvel Comics artist who is best known for his iconic painted look, which has defined stories like the Iron Man “Extremis” arc. Granov did a lot of concept art work for the Iron Man movie, including the look of the first Marvel Cinematic Universe Armor that Tony Stark developed.
Marvel has indeed invested a lot of effort in making Black Panther a fully-realized new world of the MCU to be explored, creating the look and culture of Wakanda down to the very last detail.
Black Panther opens on February 16, 2018. Other upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies include, Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, 2018, Ant-Man and the Wasp on July 6, 2018, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, the fourth Avengers movie on May 3, 2019, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 5, 2019, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.
