The Hulk is one of the strongest heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the green giant may be usurped soon enough. The star of Captain Marvel spoke with USA Today about her upcoming projects, and Brie Larson issues a challenge to Bruce Banner’s alter-ego.

When the actress was asked who she’d like to see Captain Marvel fight from the MCU, Larson had an immediate answer. “I do kind of have fantasies of battling The Hulk,” she admitted.
Why is the Avenger on her to-battle list? It all comes down to style. “It’s just visually so good,” Larson admitted.
The actress isn’t the only MCU star who is interested in fighting the Hulk. Frank Grillo told Conan O’Brien last year he’s confident Crossbones could take on the Hulk and win.
“I think Hulk is a dumb-dumb. Oh Hulk, I could trip the Hulk,” Grillo said. “Like, one of my guys could stand behind the Hulk and push him over…Tony Stark? Not so much.”
It might be tempting to try and tip over the Hulk, but Crossbones would not get close enough to the hero to even try. The aptly described ‘rage monster’ would swat the Hydra loyalist away before Crossbones could get his men on the Avenger.
There’s no telling whether Captain Marvel will get a chance to take on the Hulk, but fans are hoping the pair will get to share screen time eventually. The heroine is expected to appear in Avengers 4, and the blockbuster is set to star Bruce Banner to boot. Details about the film are being keep quiet by Marvel Studios, but there is a chance the pair may team-up in the film is Thanos is around.
Maybe someone should sabotage Iron Man’s Hulkbuster armor? If that suit goes bye-bye, it would be left up to Captain Marvel or even Scarlet Witch to pacify the berserker.
If you were hoping Captain Marvel might quarrel with Bruce in her standalone film, then you might want to level your expectations. The heroine’s solo venture is meant to be a prequel set sometime during the 1990s; Bruce hadn’t undergone his gamma radiation accident by that point, so Captain Marvel won’t have the chance to meet the Hulk. Instead, the heroine will be joined on the big screen by characters like Nick Fury and perhaps even Mar-Vell.
