Throughout two seasons on Netflix, Marvel’s Daredevil has strung fans along with a ‘will-they-or-won’t-they’ relationship between Matt Murdock and Karen Page.

After ole’ hornhead revealed the truth about being the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen to his former paralegal at the end of Season 2, fans were left wondering how there relationship would be affected. And we’ll finally get the answer when The Defenders premieres on the streaming platform.
Actor Deborah Ann Woll recently spoke to Screen Rant about her appearance in Marvel’s crossover series, indicating that their “It’s Complicated” status would be reflected in the series.
“I think you’ll definitely see us pick up and discuss what that is, but it’s also a little bit about figuring out whether I can trust him, or whether he can trust me,” Woll said. “We’re in a little bit of that limbo.”
Having seen the first four episode of the Defenders we can confirm that their relationship is addressed early in the series, although it might not be as much as fans would anticipate. While there are more episodes to be released (to the public and the media) the show is ostensibly about Daredevil’s interaction with the other heroes in New York City and their conflict with the Hand, lead by the resurrected Elektra.
Murdock has his own issues to deal with after Elektra died in his arms in the last season of Daredevil, and Page will be featured in the first season of The Punisher on Netflix so she is sure to have problems of her own.
While fans will get to see how the revelation has affected the pair, don’t expect to see much more development until Daredevil Season 3 hits Netflix.
The Defenders premieres August 18.
Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal โ to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
