Marvel Comics has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive first look at three “Death of X” variant covers. The covers tie into the upcoming “Death of X” storyline, which remains shrouded in mystery.

Each cover features the death of a different X-Men character. Mark Bagley’s cover to All-New X-Men #11 shows the fall of young Cyclops. Jeff Veregge’s cover to New Avengers #11 represents the death of Warpath. Dan Brereton’s cover to Deadpool #15 shows the death of Wade Wilson, in his bed, and surrounded by family. Because Deadpool. While Marvel has yet to reveal any firm details about “Death of X,” the publisher has promised that the story will be quite emotional and represent the death of the dream that began with Charles Xavier and that the X-Men have long fought for. The story is set to begin in July 2016.
