Another season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is fast approaching. We don’t know much about what the season will be about, but we do know we’d like to see more characters from Marvel Comics make their way into the show.

Last season brought us Hellfire, Hive, and Slingshot, and some have started speculating about the possibility of Ghost Rider showing up next season, but we want more, so here are five more Marvel characters we want to see in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

premieres Sept. 20, 2016 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

Machine Teen

Season 3 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended with Holden Radcliffe teasing the introduction of LMDs. Radcliffe is actually a little-known character from Marvel Comics, featuring primarily as the main antagonist of the Machine Teen series. That series followed a young boy named Adam Aaronson who was revealed to be a robot created by his “father,” who worked for Radcliffe’s company. The series then followed Adam as he continually evaded capture by Radcliffe, who felt Adam was his company’s property.

Adam could be introduced to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as either an early version of Radcliffe’s work or as one of the first LMDs. Either way, it would be fun to have a robot on the team.

Brother Voodoo

Brother Voodoo

The Doctor Strange movie is about to open the door to magic in the Marvel universe, but why should the movies get all the fun? Brother Voodoo is another fantastic character who replaced Doctor Strange as Earth’s Sorcerer Supreme for a time.

Voodoo’s inclusion in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. could open up some interesting story opportunities. First, he’s able to communicate with the dead, at least to a certain extent. This could be an interesting way of bringing Grant Ward back to the show for an episode so that Coulson can finally deal with his feeling of guilt and get some closure.

Secondly, Voodoo was a member of supernatural S.H.I.E.L.D. squadron called the howling commandos. The team featured characters like Frank, and an intelligent clone of Frankenstein’s Monster, Gorilla-Man, the Living Mummy, Vampire by Night, Warwolf, and Zombie. Do I smell a spinoff?

Monica Rambeau

Monica Rambeau

If Carol Danvers is going to be Captain Marvel in Marvel’s movies, why not let former comic book Captain Marvel Monica Rambeau make her way to the small screen? She goes by Spectrum these days, and she’s one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel universe.

Rambeau has the ability to transform herself into any form of energy. That’s a power with lots of potential, both practical and visually. While she hasn’t gained the high-profile of Danvers in recent years, she actually was the leader of the Avengers as Captain Marvel. Her return to form in Marvel’s current ongoing Ultimates series is a reminder that Rambeau is long overdue for a mainstream breakout.

Jimmy Woo

JimmyWoo

Jimmy Woo is character who has actually existed longer than Marvel Comics. He originally debuted in Yellow Claw #1, which was published by Atlas Comics prior to rebranding as Marvel. In the Marvel universe, he briefly oversaw a team of Avengers that predated the modern iteration formed by Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Wasp, and Ant-Man.

More recently, Woo has led a team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents codenamed the Agent of Atlas, a callback to Atlas Comics. The team consists of other pulpy characters created during the Atlas era โ€“ Gorilla-Man, M-11, the Uranian, Namora, Venus, and 3-D Man.

The role I see for Woo in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is actually as a senior S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. He could offer a lot of wisdom gained in the field to the younger crew as he remembers his days in the field with the Agents of Atlas. This would be another fun way to inject a little weirdness into Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and I wouldn’t mind seeing a period piece Agents of Atlas spinoff either.

Manifold

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.ย teased Manifold last season by putting his real name, Eden Fesi, on a document involving a captured Inhuman from Australia. That’s cute, but we’d really like to actually see Eden on the show.

Manifoldย has the power of spatial teleportation. That means he can tear open space and time to create a portal connecting one location to another. As a member of the Secret Warriors, he proved vital to many of their missions as the team’s primary mode of extraction. Manifold also went on to become a member of the Avengers, and is a “universal shaper,” meaning he is capable of reality manipulation. With Coulson’s team significantly smaller than it was at the start of last season, Manifold would be a very cool character to help fill in the ranks.
