Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 makes an immediate impression in the opening moments, and now you can recreate that amazing sequence thanks to Iron Studios.

The talented statue maker has taken on the lovable Guardians for a full recreation of the Abilisk fight from early in the film. Granted, some were probably paying more attention to the antics of a certain dancing tree, but nonetheless, there was a battle going on in the background.
For the statue, Iron Studios is basing each Guardian in their own 1/10 scale statue as they surround the Abilisk rather monstrous toothy face. Gamora, Star-Lord, Drax, and Rocket are all attempting to fight off the monster’s tentacles, while Groot is sort of just enjoying the show. The first three entries in the diorama have been shown off, with Gamora, Drax, and Star-Lord getting new official images. Rocket, Groot, and the Abilisk have all yet to be shown in detail, but it’s likely that Rocket and Groot will be sold as one package since Baby Groot is so small.
As for the Abilisk, his head is pretty massive, so he might cost a bit more than the other statues, though nothing has been announced.
The diorama is impressive when all assembled together, so you’ll need to clear some space for it. As you can see in the image below, the base of each statue is given an orange translucent glow to accompany the Abilisk’s tentacles.
Before you see the individual statues up close, there are a few rules for full statue assembly here. No. 1, yes Groot is small enough to fit into the Abilisk’s mouth, but doing so will bring horrible Marvel karma upon you, so best not to do it. No. 2, Groot does appear to come with the Walkman he has in the film’s opening, so if you really want to recreate the full scene you’ll definitely need to add some tunes, though those are sold separately.

Gamora
Gamoraย leaps forward with her sword extended and her jetpackย firing on all cylinders. The Jets also have a semi translucent coloring to them, and her other arm is extended outward as well. From the side, the likeness to Zoeย Saldana is actually quite good, but it loses something when looking at the statue head on.
