Happy Birthday! Charlie Cox Turns 34 Years Old Today

Happy birthday, Charlie Cox. The British actor turns 34 today.

Born in London, Cox was raised in East Sussex by parents Patricia and Andrew. As the youngest of five children, Cox was raised Roman Catholic and discovered his interest in theater at a young ago.

The actor’s professional career began in 2007 when he was cast as Tristan Thorn in Stardust. The following year saw Cox play Ian Hamilton in Stone of Destiny before making a brief appearance on Downtown Abbey in 2010. However, Cox began gaining international attention after being cast in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire where he became a regular in Season 3.

Right now, fans best know Charlie for his work on Marvel’s Daredevil. The Netflix series began development in 2013 before debuted in April 2015. The series was a hit with fans and critics, prompting a second season to debut in March 2016. A third season has also been ordered along with a Punisher spin-off as well.

Fans will see Cox soon in Marvel’s The Defenders. The ensemble miniseries will see Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jone, and Daredevil team up to face-off with a powerful, seedy villain who threatens to upheave Hell’s Kitchen.
