Henry Ian Cusick is one of the newest actors to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it took the former Lost actor no time at all to find out exactly how secretive the House of Ideas is when it comes to their movie and television productions.

Speaking to Screen Rant, Cusick reflected on how massive the productions really are.

“I didn’t really realize how big the Marvel Universe was until I had another interview and I was talking about it,” Cusick said.”I really was just confirming what was out there on the internet โ€” my character and what he did โ€” but very quickly the Marvel people emailed my manager and agent and said “Oh, he must be very careful what he says.”

In fact, Cusick says the production of Inhumans was “way more secretive” than his time on Lost.

“For me, Marvel is way more secretive. When I was on Lost, we were pretty guarded about what we shared,” reflected Cusick.”But Marvel is one hundred times more secretive. They’re very, very guarded about what you can and can’t say. And they’ll let you know very quickly.”

It’s no secret that Marvel goes to incredible lengths in creating secrecy in protecting the integrity of their productions. In this case, Cusick didn’t even know what role he would be playing when he was offered his Inhumans gig.

“It was like, ‘They’re interested in you for a certain amount of episodes with this Marvel show that’s shooting in Hawaii,’ and I said, ‘Yes, I’m already interested,’” Cusick told Screen Rants. “Look, it’s a Marvel show, it has Jean Higgins who was also one of the producers on Lostโ€ฆ I saw the cast list. Great actors. That had already ticked a lot of boxes.’”

The synopsis for Inhumans is listed below.

“After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.”

Marvel’s Inhumans stars Anson Mount (Black Bolt), Serinda Swan (Medusa), Ken Leung (Karnak), Isabelle Cornish (Crystal), Eme Ikwuakor (Gorgon), Iwan Rheon (Maximus), Sonya Balmores (Auran), Mike Moh (Triton), and Ellen Woglom.
