20th Century Fox elected to give away the over 1,900 frames to the trailer, shot by shot, to fans ahead of the trailers release. Only one of each from from the trailer (which is expected to run about 85 seconds without titles based on the number of frames) was sent out. Logan director has recieved and shared his.
The director took to Twitter to share his frame which sees a futuristic Chrysler 300 driving through a desolate area.
Fans, likely those who were on hand for the first 40-minutes of the film which were screened at the 20th Century Fox showcase event, are already offering praise to Mangold's new film and its main character.
"Someone told me that the movie made it feel like you might walk out onto the street and run into this Wolverine," Mangold said of Logan in a recent interview. "That it's not taking place in a different universe but our own."
Logan takes place in a somewhat distant future, where mutant births have become extremely rare. The defenders of mutant kind, the X-Men, are long gone, and the only remains of them are an old and struggling Charles Xavier and a weary Logan. Logan's vaunted healing factor has slowed, and at times doesn't seem to work at all. When a young mutant needs his help, Logan has to unsheathe his claws once more. His job isn't over yet.
