Karen Gillan is set to reprise her role as the blue-skinned, cyborg assassin Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and although her boss, Ronan, was defeated in the first film she proved to be a force to be reckoned with for the upcoming adventure.

During the set visit for the new film, ComicBook.com asked the actress which machine-armed Marvel character would win in an arm wrestling match between Nebula and Winter Soldier.

Confidently, she answered with her character.

“Oh, interesting,” Gillan said. “Nebula. She’s the biggest sadist in the galaxy.

“And also I feel like I can handle this arm better than Sebastian Stan.”

We don’t have many details regarding her role in the sequel other than a small detail Gillan revealed to us months ago when she said, “I think what I’m really excited about it delving into the sisterly relationship between Gamora and Nebula. I think that we’re going to see a little bit more of that, and it’s going to be a bit more fleshed out.”

Nebula and her adopted sister Gamora clearly did not get along in their first cinematic outing. However, they were both trained (and tortured) by their cosmic supervillain dad, Thanos, to be killer assassins and where as Gamora landed herself with the Guardians, Nebula was part of her father’s evil world-destroying plans. Nebula aligned herself with Ronan and her evil father Thanos, however, she was left betrayed and overlooked before the movie came to an end and she flew off into the Xandarian sky in a ship.

On the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige opened up about Nebula’s role a little but more for the sequel.

“She cut her own hand off, jumped onto a ship, and flew away,” Feige said, recapping her final moments in the first film. “She comes back into the story relatively early on. In fact, we realize that the payment for the mission that the Guardians have done on Sovereign is to get Nebula.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn (Slither). The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (Spectre) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), Chris Sullivan (The Knick, The Drop) and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, The Thing).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017. It currently has a 4.31-of-5 rating in the ComicBook.com User Rating — good enough for the No. 3 spot since the product release this year.
