Based on the fact that our interest in Kevin Smith‘s (Comic Book Men, Clerks) opinion (on anything) has become a meme in the comment section of ComicBook’s official Facebook page, I know you guys and gals must be dying to find out what the geek icon thought of the latest Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer.

Even though he and Marc Bernardin have already seen it, they rewatched the trailer for their latest episode of Fat Man on Batman and offered up their frame-by-frame opinions. As you probably suspect, they both loved the trailer as much as most of us did.
The dazzling montage in the first few seconds gets Smith exclaiming, “God this looks beautiful!” and “F–k this looks expensive!” They both remarked on how adorable Baby Groot is and produced genuine chuckles as the pint-sized hero struggled to understand the significance of the death button for Rocket’s atomic bomb. Then Sweet’s 1974 song “Fox on the Run” kicks into action and Smith immediately compliments James Gunn’s taste in music: “Excellent choice of music.” Deep smiles stick to their mugs as they intently watch Star-Lord and Rocket bicker over who is more likely to have tape.
