With our new Anticipation Rankings, we can get a sense of how a movie will do with fans before its release date arrives; however, the real measure is what happens when the film is in theaters – and with our Big Movie Battle, we will measure how fans are reacting to each new release – and how those movies compare to one another!

As winter thaws into spring (or is it re-thaws, this year?) there are bigger and bigger movies hitting theaters. Case in point: this week we have Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine movie, Logan heading into its second week hoping to ward off the King Kong reboot within the new giant monster movie universe, Kong: Skull Island.

As you can see below: Logan has achieved massive success in its one week in theaters. Besides earning an impressive box office haul, the film has become the #2 comic book movie of all time in our overall composite rankings – and thanks to fans’ personal rankings, it’s topped thelist as The Best Comic Book movie of all time according to our users!

Will you be seeing Logan (again) this weekend? Love the film? Then vote for it in our rankings database, below!

Kong: Skull Island has quickly gained attention as its release date grew closer. The film has a an all-star cast that includes Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson, along with Straight Outta Compton stars Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell, and famous character actors like John Goodman and John C. Reilly. Aside from all that star power, Skull Island will be giving fans a good ol’ fashioned popcorn blockbuster to enjoy – and critical reviews (including our own official Kong: Skull Island review) has generally been favorable.

However, it’s Skull Island‘s ties to the rebooted Godzilla franchise that have fans especially excited for this one. The King Kong reboot is the beginning chapter of Giant Monster saga that we saw in Godzilla, will see again in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, before Godzilla and Kong go head-to-head in a big 2020 event film. With that kind epic finale in sight, let us know how you feel about Kong: Skull Island in the rankings below!

Once you’ve voted, come back early after opening weekend when we’ll compare your ratings to the box office rankings, to see if fans got their due! In the meantime, check out any profile of either film for the latest news on what’s coming next from the franchise, as well as our interviews with the casts and directors!

And as always, enjoy whichever movie(s) you choose to see!
