Yesterday, while Serinda Swan (sporting a buzz cut) was spotted filming scenes for Marvel’s The Inhumans on Waikiki Beach, a second crew was seen 14 miles away filming on Makapuu Beach — both beaches are located on the Hawaiian island of Oahu.

Twitter user Anthony Quintano happened to be on Makapuu Beach while the cameras were rolling and snapped the very first photos of Eme Ikwuakor (Concussion, Extant) as Gorgon. You can check out a pair of photos in the tweet below!

Gorgon is Black Bolt’s fight-first-and-ask-questions-later cousin. He’s also a member of the Royal family, a leader of Attilan’s military, and his super-strong legs are equipped with hooves. A single stomp from them can generate destructive seismic waves. Though he is typically portrayed as the muscle of the team, in recent years he’s been the de facto Inhumans trainer of new recruits.

The Inhumans, a race of superhumans with diverse and singularly unique powers, were first introduced in Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965. Since that time, they have grown in prominence and become some of the most popular and iconic characters in the Marvel Universe. Marvel’s The Inhumans will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family.

The cast features Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Ken Leung as Karnak, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Mike Moh as Triton, Sonya Balmores as Auran, Ellen Woglom as Undisclosed Character, and Lockjaw as himself.

The first two episode of Marvel’s The Inhumans (directed by Roel Reine) will premiere in over 1,000 IMAX theatres across the globe — for a two-week run — starting on September 1, 2017. ABC will then premiere the weekly television series on Tuesday, September 26. Marvel’s Iron Fist showrunner Scott Buck is serving as its showrunner.
