A day after a Japanese trailer for Thor: Ragnarok featured new footage of Doctor Strange in the Taika Waititi-directed film, Marvel took to Instagram to share the new colorful poster. The new poster comes with the first look at Thor’s father Odin, who is known to be missing in the film.
“Celebrate #Thorsday with a new Japanese poster for #ThorRagnarok,” the photo is captioned. Check it out below!
From left to right, the poster features Heimdall, Loki, the Hulk, Thor, Valkyrie, Odin, and the Grandmaster as they will appear in Thor: Ragnarok. Looming over the impressive line-up is Hela, who will be wreaking havoc on Asgard when the film rolls around in November.
Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi with a screenplay by Eric Pearson. The film stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki. They are joined by Cate Blanchett (Hela), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Jeff Goldblum (Grandmaster), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Karl Urban (Skurge), Anthony Hopkins (Odin), Sam Neill, Ray Stevenson (Volstagg), Tadanobu Asano (Hogun), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk), and Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Stephen Strange).
“You look at the cast and they’re all beautiful, they’re all talented, they’re all funny,” Waititi told ComicBook.com. “I couldn’t have been luckier with that cast. And Chris [Hemsworth] especially, he’s one of the funniest guys I know. We really exploited that, I really tapped into that side of him. You’re going to see a version of Thor that’s the most fun and I think the most lovable, a version of Thor I think that people are going to like.”
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 4, 2017.
