On Saturday, November 5, during the football game between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Nebraska Cornhuskers at Ohio Stadium (OSU won 62-3), The Ohio State University Marching Band put on a spectacular halftime show that celebrated Marvel and DC superheroes, proving once again why they are often called The Best Damn Band in the Land (also known as TBDBITL).

“Ladies and gentlemen, this evening, The Ohio State University Marching Band brings our favorite superheroes to life,” the PA announcer told the large and jubliant crowd. “With their devotion to fighting crime, restoring order, and battling one super-villain’s threats against Buckeye nation.”
The band went on to form superhero logos, such as The Avengers, Batman (a Bat-Signal that moved), and Captain America’s shield, as well as characters, including Thor (dropped his magical hammer on Michigan Wolverines’ banner), Spider-Man (swinging from one building to another), Superman (stopping a train), Iron Man (smoke used to show him flying), and The Hulk (SMASH!). Of course, with each of thes formations, the band played music associated with the superhero characters.
